Drug Awareness Essay Contest

Since 1994, the Alvin Rotary Club has sponsored a Drug Awareness Essay Contest geared to the education of eighth grade students about the dangers of drug abuse. Students write interpretive essays about how drugs affect themselves, their family, their friends, their community or their country.

Eighth grade English teachers select one student essay from each class for further judging by the Alvin Rotary Club. Classroom winners and their families are invited to an appreciation banquet hosted by the Alvin Rotary Club.

Congratulations to our 2017-2018 Drug Esssay Contest winners
