The 39th annual Frontier Day Celebration

will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 in National Oak Park
in downtown Alvin

The Alvin Rotary Club will host the 39th annual
Frontier Day Celebration on Saturday, April 27th, 2013.
This year's Frontier Day activities
will begin Friday, April 26th with a concert featuring Texas music legend Shake Russell
and a rodeo and dance at the Alvin Youth Livestock and Arena Association arena.
The dance will begin immediately following the rodeo and features The Junior Gordon Band.

Saturday's full day of events features the
Frontier Day Parade through the old downtown area
of Alvin. Special activities are held throughout the day, including the famous
"shoot-out" performances
by the Alvin Rotary Club Gunfighters.
Nearby midway rides, food concessions, and other activities
run concurrent
with the Arts, Crafts & Collectibles Festival.
and the Antique and Collectible Car and Bike Show.
Frontier Day brings many people to downtown Alvin and most
return year after year to enjoy the entertainment and full day of activities.
Proceeds support scholarships and other charitable activities in the Alvin area.

- 2:00 p.m. - Old fashioned gunfight featuring the Alvin Rotary Club Gunfighters
- 2:45 p.m. - Frontier Day Parade trophy winners announced
- 3:00 p.m. - Car and Bike Show Awards presentation
- 4:00 p.m. - Club 100 drawing
Day-long activities include:
- Arts, Crafts & Collectibles Business Expo - Over 100 booths.
- Frontier Day Car and Bike Show
- Food
Proceeds from these activities benefit local and international organizations.
