The Rotary Club of Alvin, Texas is a part of Rotary International, the largest international non-profit service organization. Our motto is "Service Above Self". Rotary International is known for its effort to eradicate polio worldwide with a project named "Polio Plus".

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
  1. The development of acquaintance as the opportunity for service;
  2. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  3. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;
  4. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
The Alvin Rotary Club is proud to report that since 2000, over $250,000 has been donated to local and international organizations.

Our club meets at noon each Thursday at Joe's Banquet Center , 1300 E. Hwy 6 in Alvin

Light Up Rotary

Rotary International president Gary C.K. Huang will ask Rotarians to "Light Up Rotary" in 2014-15. Huang is urging club members to Light Up Rotary by hosting a Rotary Day in their community, continuing our fight against polio, and increasing club membership. "Light Up Rotary is more than our theme. It is how we make a difference -- every day, in every club, and every country we serve.""
